Asparagus

The asparagus is a plant found in the Asparagaceae family. The edible part of the vegetable is the tender stem in the plant’s growing area. Its cultivation is widespread throughout the world, with China being the primary producer today.

This popular vegetable can come in various colors, with green and white being the most common. White asparagus is obtained by covering the shoots from sunlight; however, although, in lower amounts, they contain the same nutrients as the green ones.
