The pepper is a Solanaceae family climbing plant whose edible part is the fruit.

Native to America, its cultivation and consumption has been and is currently spreading throughout the world.

Nutritionally this vegetable gives us:

  • Minerals: potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
  • Vitamins: C, K, and B6.
  • Lycopene.
  • Fiber.

Canned Vima peppers are selected at their optimal ripening period when they are then sterilized and packaged. Their canning allows them to maintain their nutrients and qualities for long periods without the need for refrigeration.

Being a prepared product, they are always ready to consume.

We have two varieties of peppers, both canned and ready to eat:

  • Red pepper. Fleshy and juicy, often used as an accompaniment for roasts and stews.
  • Piquillo pepper. Made of finer but more consistent meat that makes it suitable for filling or as an accompaniment.
