Mahi-Mahi

Mahi-Mahi, scientific name, “Coryphaena hippurus,” is found worldwide in the tropics and subtropic waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.

Mahi-Mahi comes from the Hawaiian language and means “very strong,” referring to how difficult it is to capture an adult specimen.

A white meat fish that stands out for:

  • Low in unsaturated fat.
  • Source of vitamins, proteins, and minerals, such as niacin, vitamin B12, phosphorus, and selenium.
  • Low in sodium.
  • Contains Omega-3 fatty acids.
