Zucchini

Zucchini is the fruit of the Cucurbita pepo plant in the Cucurbitaceae family. Native to America, its cultivation spread to Europe and the rest of the world and is currently part of a wide variety of recipes for stews, creams, purées, or salads.

Nutritionally, this vegetable stands out for:

  • Low in calories.
  • Contains vitamins A, B3, B1, and B2.
  • Minerals: potassium, iron, and phosphorous.
  • High content of fiber and antioxidants.

Vima zucchini is harvested in Europe at its optimum ripeness. Thanks to the freezing process that helps preserve its nutrients, it is available all year round. The blanching to which it is subjected before freezing helps to maintain its properties and reduces microorganisms while shortening the preparation time.

It comes in slices with a diameter of 20-45mm, and a thickness of 6mm.
