Ingredients

  • 6 portions Vima Foods® Tilapia Fillets
  • 4 cups GOYA® Masarepa - Pre-Cooked White Corn Meal
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage
  • 5 tsp. GOYA® Recaito
  • 3/4 cup GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp. GOYA® Paste Garlic
  • 3 tbsp. GOYA® Cream of Coconut
  • 1 can GOYA® Sliced Carrots
  • 1/2 tbsp. GOYA® Lime Juice
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 tbsp. Salt
  • 6 slices Fresh lime

Instructions

  • Thaw the Vima Foods® Tilapia Fillets in the refrigerator for 6 hours and drain well.
  • Boil in water for 3 minutes, then set aside and crumble completely.
  • Finely chop the cabbage and cook it in boiled water for 2 minutes, then drain.
  • Chop the carrots, sauté them with the cabbage for a few minutes, add the crumbled fish, and cook with the coconut cream until it thickens well. Season to taste.
  • Mix the GOYA® Masarepa - Pre-Cooked White Corn Meal with the milk and salt, and form arepas about 5 cm in diameter.
  • Cook them in a skillet with a little oil and split them in half.
  • Fill them with the hot mixture and cold slices of avocado and serve.

Notes

You can garnish the filling with grated cheese.
