DESCRIPTION

 

La tilapia (Oreochromis spp) is a white fish, mainly from freshwater. China is the world's leading producer of farmed tilapia, which allows the product to be available throughout the year.

Tilapia has a neutral flavor and is easy to accompany. Being a white fish, it has qualities such as:

  • Low in calories and fat, making it an ideal food for a healthy diet.
  • Important source of vitamin D and high biological value proteins, selenium and zinc.
  • Rich in B vitamins (B3, B6, B9 and B12).
  • Frequent consumption protects cells from aging and prevents heart problems.

La Tilapia posee una carne firme que permite presentarla en filetes limpios y sin espinas, lo que hace que sea un alimento ideal para comedores escolares.
