DESCRIPTION

 

The octopus is a cephalopod with eight arms lined with suction cups. Its body is almost completely soft and without an internal skeleton. It lives in deep and shallow waters in tropical, subtropical and temperate areas around the world.

Highly intelligent, keen-eyed and with an exceptional sense of touch, they have several built-in defense mechanisms.

Nutritionally it is a very complete food, standing out for having:

  • Source of minerals, among which zinc stands out.
  • High protein content.
  • Vitamins A, E, C, B1, B2, B3, B5.
  • Low cholesterol content.

Vima octopus is presented in different formats, from trays with raw, whole and clean octopus, to vacuum-packed cooked legs. This allows us to satisfy the needs of each client by offering a very versatile product.

Octopus is typical in Mediterranean cuisine, it can have a somewhat hard texture, so it is recommended to cook it in water to soften its meat before preparing it.

It is a highly appreciated seafood throughout the world and can be prepared in different ways, whether raw, cooked, grilled, dried or smoked.
