DESCRIPTION

 

Oysters are bivalve mollusks of the family Ostreidae, a family that contains more than 200 different species worldwide. It feeds by pumping and filtering sea water, from which it obtains the microorganisms it nourishes.

Oysters have a sweet and mild flavor, they should be succulent, have a good bright color and a clean sea smell.

The oysters are:

  • Good source of Omega-3 fatty acids.

Vima oysters are Pacific Oysters, (Crassostrea gigas), produced on the coast of France and are presented whole and with the 2 shells to preserve their freshness and flavor, since they are frozen directly once they are extracted from the sea.

The cultivation of this species of oyster is widely spread throughout the world, and it is harvested throughout the year in a traditional way.

Although the most common way of consumption is the raw oyster, this mollusk also allows different preparations, from roasted in the oven, grilled or grilled, smoked or even boiled. In any case, they are an exquisite product due to their unmistakable texture and flavor.
