The mussel, (Mytilus spp) It is an abundant and nutritious mollusk with an elongated shell. Blue mussels regularly form striations that run around their shells.
Depending on the species and area, colors can vary from light brown to dark blue or black. The colors of the flesh also vary from creamy to brown and orange. The soft parts enclosed by the shell are all edible.
