DESCRIPTION
The white shrimp, as it is more commonly known, or (Litopenaeus vannamei) is the most successful of all farm-raised shrimp. Its commercial production began in 1996 in Asia, especially in China and India. The United States is the largest consumer market followed by Japan and Europe.
