DESCRIPTION
The squid is the common name used to refer to different species of squid that are similar to each other.
The squid Illex It is mainly found along the Argentine coast in South America. It has a strong mantle, with long arms and lives in a variety of depths ranging from the surface to almost 750 meters. It feeds on other species of squid, crabs, shrimp and other small fish.
The squid Todarodes It is one of the squids with the highest commercial value in the world and inhabits the waters of the eastern North Atlantic Ocean.
The squid Dosidicus, also known as Humboldt squid or giant squid, inhabits the Pacific Ocean from north to south. It is a large squid that can weigh up to 50 kg and have a mantle length of up to 2 m.
The three species of squid constitute an important fishing resource in the world, despite the fact that their useful life is only one year.
The squid are:

- Rich in vitamin B12.
