DESCRIPTION

 

The scallop is a bivalve mollusk that lives on the sandy bottoms of the ocean, where its catches are produced.

The meat of the scallop is a creamy, almost translucent tone, with some pink and brown nuances that accentuate the appearance of its meat. With a firm texture, its flavor is mild, between salty and sweet. The scallop is very delicate and requires very little cooking to reach an optimal point.

Nutritionally, the scallop is characterized by:

  • A low presence of calories and fats.
  • Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Abundant source of calcium and vitamin B12 along with iron, manganese and zinc.
