RED MULLET

 

DESCRIPTION

 

The red mullet is a species that lives mainly in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and in some areas of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Red-orange in colour, the flesh of the red mullet is white with a special and delicate flavour. Today, it is a highly valued product in Mediterranean haute cuisine.

Red mullet is:

  • Rich in protein.
  • A healthy source of vitamin B12, D and B6.
  • Rich in minerals, especially selenium and potassium.

Vima presents the whole and gutted red mullet.

The flesh of this fish is firm, white and has an excellent flavour. It can be cooked grilled, roasted or fried.
