SNUFF

DESCRIPTION

The snuff (Lophius spp) It is a large fish that lives in the deep waters of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It is characterized by its enormous head, which features a large mouth with sharp teeth, which gives it an ugly appearance. The anglerfish experiences a great growth in its initial development phase, reaching maturity in about three or four years.

Monkfish is a good source of:

  • Minerals such as phosphorus and selenium.
  • Vitamins B12, B1, B3 and B9.
  • Low in fat.

Vima presents monkfish tails, its only edible part. The tails have a delicious white meat, with a firm and consistent texture, which allows it to be used in a wide variety of fish recipes and also as a substitute for lobster due to its similarity in flavour and texture.
